E. Lynn Gibbons graduated from East Bay High
School in 1989 and received her B.A. from the University of South
Florida in May of 1992. She attended law school at Stetson University
College of Law in Gulfport, FL and received her Juris Doctor degree in
December of 1994. She was admitted by the Florida Bar to practice law
in the State of Florida in May of 1995. She is also admitted to
practice in the Federal District before the Middle District of Florida.
She has limited her practice of law to the
representation of injured workers, social security disability claimants and
those injured in accidents resulting from the negligence of others. She
has never represented an insurance company. She is a member of the Florida
Bar, The Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the St. Petersburg Bar Association
Workers Compensation and Social Security sections, and the Workers Compensation
section of the Florida Bar. She has been Board Certified by the Florida
Bar as a workers' compensation specialist since 2002. Her Certification
was renewed in 2008, and again in 2012. She has been certified by the Supreme Court of
Florida as Circuit Civil Mediator since 2002. She has tried over 20
Workers Compensation cases in the last 5 years and has obtained a favorable
verdict in each case.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and relocated with
her family to Florida in 1984. She has been married for 20 years to her
husband, Shannon, and has four teen-aged children, Katie, Reilly, and twins Delanie
and Dillan. Her hobbies include fishing, boating, snorkeling, cooking and
watching her children play basketball, football and volleyball.
